for generations, my family has worshipped jirachi. in our small public temple, many songs have been sung and notes pinned up with hopes for blessings. they ask for fortune, longevity, peace, power.[break][break]

since hoenn became a place of endless destruction, the notes grew so abundant that you can no longer see the walls around the altar. several of them wish for my father to return from battle, but it’s been years since he left.[break][break]

i’ve grown tired of wishing. i don’t sing the songs anymore. the temple is quiet, and there is only the sound of the river outside.[break][break]
